However, it is vitamin K2 - and especially its best absorbed form, MK-7 - that is particularly important for bone health. Dietary sources of vitamin K2 are animal products and fermented foods (e.g. natto). Vitamin K deficiency is most often associated with decreased bone mineralisation, which may contribute to the development of osteoporosis or other skeletal complaints [1-3]. In providing adequate amounts of vitamin K, it is crucial to ensure a balanced diet. The use of tailored-portion supplements is also helpful.

The recommended daily serving (1 capsule) contains 100 µg of vitamin K2 in the form of menaquinone-7, corresponding to 133% of the RWS. The product is best taken with or immediately after a meal.
